INVITATION FROM THE PRESIDENT
I look forward to welcoming you to the 39th Annual Scientific Congress to be held in Perth. The collegiate nature of the RANZCO Congress provides the opportunity for an exchange of knowledge and concepts with colleagues from our region and further afield internationally in a congenial and informal atmosphere. It is by keeping abreast of recent advances in our specialty in this way that we are best able to assist those entrusting themselves to our care. The Scientific Programme for the Congress promises to be most stimulating, the social programme enjoyable and I am confident that you will find your visit to Perth a memorable one. Andrew Stewart |

November 24 - 28 is fast approaching. The Perth Organising Committee is preparing a wonderful scientific and social congress.
The Programme Committee has invited stimulating speakers to feature in the Scientific Programme. Be sure to attend the new addition to the programme on Wednesday morning, the "State of the Art Symposium" where all the invited speakers present.
Alan Nicoll is preparing an entertaining Congress Dinner; the Opening Ceremony will be in the impressive Winthrop Hall, UWA followed by a Reception in the University grounds hosted by our President, Andrew Stewart.
Christine Starling has lined up an adventurous Accompanying Persons’ Programme. The Programme includes a guided walk through Kings Park, Christine’s hidden secrets in out of the way places in Fremantle and a shopping tour to Linney's Pearls.
On Wednesday afternoon, Geoff Lam is teeing off the Golf Tournament, Phil House is commodoring a sailing regatta and Peter Richardson is wearing the yellow jersey in a cycling tour around the Swan River.
On Friday 30 November, the Western Australian Branch meeting will be held under Nigel Morlet's auspices in the boutique wine growing area of Margaret River.
So ‘Look West’ now. We would love to welcome you to the College's 39th Annual Scientific Congress here in Perth.
